1. Local wear (skin damage)
Fabric core rubber conveyor belts and steel core rubber conveyor belts are prone to such damage. The main reason is that the transfer place, the material guide trough, the failed idler and other parts are easily stuck with large material blocks. Once the rubber conveyor belt is running, it will definitely cause excessive wear of the rubber conveyor belt.
2. Partial fragmentation (penetrating injury)
Fabric core rubber conveyor belts and steel core rubber conveyor belts have such damage. When the rubber conveyor belt is transporting materials, there are often larger stones and sharper material blocks mixed in. These material blocks break through the rubber conveyor belt with a large impact force at the transition because of insufficient buffering, forming holes. If the material is mixed with sharp objects, such as iron crowbars, it is very easy to scratch the rubber conveyor belt, resulting in large-area tearing of the rubber conveyor belt.
3. Damage to the glued part
The adhesive part of the rubber conveyor belt is formed by re-lap vulcanization when the tape is installed. If the joints are not handled properly, it is easy to cause premature wear of the joints, peeling and other phenomena. If it is not dealt with in time, the damage and deterioration of the joint part will be faster, and the belt breakage accident will easily occur.
4. Longitudinal crack of steel wire rubber conveyor belt
Some steel-core rubber conveyor belts often have longitudinal penetrating scratches, which can be as long as tens of meters or even hundreds of meters. Such damages are generally called longitudinal cracks. Most of the reasons are that the sharp object is stuck in some places, such as the scraper cleaner, and the operator does not clean it up in time. After the belt runs, the rubber conveyor belt is scratched and torn over a long distance.
During the use of conveyor belts, there are also many forms of damage, such as: edge delamination, festering, defects and cracks; long-distance longitudinal tears, deep scratches, holes, large areas of wear, covering rubber drums or peeling, joints Internal defects, etc. Among them, the longitudinal tear is the most urgent, the edge damage is the most common, the inherent defects of the joint are unavoidable, and the service life after repair is the most concerned.

⒈Hot repair method: Usually, special repairers, vulcanizers and hot vulcanization materials suitable for conveyor belts are used to repair the damaged parts of the conveyor belt with equal strength “no trace”. This kind of repair can completely eliminate the damage of the conveyor belt and restore it to its original state. It is suitable for more important, long-distance, high-speed, and large-volume transportation systems. Completing this type of maintenance requires specialized equipment and professionals. The hot repair method is the most reliable and ideal method for the maintenance of rubber conveyor belts.
⒉Cold repair method: Usually, special cold adhesives, repair films and special tools for conveyor belts must be used to fill in the damaged parts of the conveyor belt to achieve the purpose of continuous operation. Obviously, this infill repair is a stopgap measure. Therefore, its main purpose is: when the conveyor belt is damaged, timely cold repair can prevent the damaged part of the conveyor belt from continuing to expand and extend, so as to effectively protect the core of the conveyor belt from damage, so as to wait and obtain Time and opportunity for repairs.
⒊Mechanical repair method: Usually, clips, nails, connecting plates and screws or metal cords and special appliances made of metal materials are used to fix or connect the damaged parts of the conveyor belt to achieve the purpose of maintaining operation.
